Our Brain and Spinal Cancer Care Coordinator Is Here For You

If you've been referred to the FHCI because you have been diagnosed with a form of brain or spinal cancer, the last thing you ever want is the added stress of trying to figure out how to get the treatment you need.

Even something as simple as transferring files from one specialist to another or making a series of physician appointments can seem overwhelming.

That's why the FHCI offers a service that takes the worry and hassle out of your visits for cancer treatments. Our Care Coordinator is here to help you make informed choices about your care and remove any roadblocks on your journey to health and wellness.

Our Brain and Spinal Cancer Care Coordinators provide you with a continual source of support throughout your entire cancer experience including:

  • Coordinating/scheduling/expediting care among providers
  • Ensuring patients have the necessary information to make fully informed decisions
  • Providing access to clinical trial participation/screening for eligibility
  • Assisting with second opinions
  • Providing education about your procedures, diagnosis and treatment in easy to understand terms
  • Serving as a constant link between you and your physicians
  • Connecting patients and families with resources 

They're also here to have a heart-to-heart talk with you about any issue you care to discuss - all conversations are completely confidential. Care Coordinators will be your advocate for quality care at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.

No Referral Required

Our Care Coordinator services are available to all patients; no physician referral is needed. Please call (407) 303-5909 to speak with Denise Cochran. The number is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. After hours, leave a message, Denise will get back to you the following business day.
